You can request your seat from the time you buy your ticket, or later from Booking management, at Online check-in.
When you travel in Iberia Business Plus, Business Club or Business Class you can choose your seat early, free of charge, from the time you place the booking and without having to have your ticket issued.
On our Iberia, Iberia Express and Iberia Regional Air Nostrum flights, you can book XL Economy seats for more space and comfort. These seats are nearly always located beside the aircraft emergency exits, so to be able to occupy them you must be capable of assisting the crew in emergency situations and must also meet certain requirements.
Special requirements for emergency seats
You can reserve an XL seat when you book your flight, for a fee. If you don’t know your ticket conditions, find out at Booking management.
Not all seats in the emergency exit rows are XL (they don’t all have extra space) and their prices vary. Please keep this in mind to choose the seat you really want.

You can also book and purchase seats from customer call centres, Iberia ticket sales offices and travel agencies.
If you haven’t chosen a seat prior to check-in, you will be assigned one for free and at random when you get your boarding pass.
Seats can only be reserved for flights operated by Iberia, Iberia Express or Iberia Regional Air Nostrum. For flights operated by other carriers or flights with codes IB4XXX, IB5XXX or IB7XXX, please consult your operator. Iberia may change the allocation of booked seats for reasons of operation, safety or control.

Customers with Iberia Singular or Iberia Plus Platinum or Gold cards (oneworld emerald or sapphire) may select their seating for free from the time they make their booking and for all the people who appear on the same reservation.
Plata and Clásica cardholders can use Avios to select their seat on flights where there is usually an additional charge for this in accordance with the fare terms and conditions.
Customers with tickets purchased with Avios (or equivalent in miles) in Economy or Blue fares may select a seat free of charge when making their booking.
For children aged between five and 11 who are travelling alone, you should contact Iberia to access the seats reserved for them.
Bags and other items exceeding 190 cm in length are not permitted.
Cash payments are not accepted at Heathrow airport.
Animals are not permitted in the cabin (PETC) on flights to London, or in the hold (AVIH) on flights to/from London. However, they are permitted to travel as cargo.
Customers with a disability and/or special need should contact Iberia to access the seats reserved for them.
Groups of 10 or more passengers (with a group fare) may book seats through their travel agency or free of charge in online check-in, except for Economy XL seats which cost the same as for individual bookings.
